Sweetie Potato

July 2021 - Not that long ago to make it a throwback but it was a damn near perfect trip.

This was probably one of my favourite sunsets, for a few reasons (one which I can’t share unfortunately). The perfect breeze, nobody else in sight, and the giant ball of gas that is the Sun burning right in front of our eyes, can’t complain at all. We spent the day driving/hiking all over the place - it was a day that made me extremely tired but I loved every second of it. The sunset was just the cherry on top.

After the sunset and a solid photo session one of my friends wanted to get some ice cream and go to a nearby beach for a walk - so I made that my mission. I would get us to the damn beach with some damn ice cream no matter what. Nothing could stop me. I may be going overboard with how dramatic I was but that’s okay.

To be honest I thought it would be an easy task, we’re on the coast anyway how hard can it be to find a chill beach that you can walk along, as for the ice cream, any supermarket would have it… right?? Turns out it was difficult af. I don’t remember if we tried one or two supermarkets but we didn’t manage to find any nice ice cream so that was a bust. Now for the beach, the first spot we went to did have some waves, but they were 300 meters away and you had to walk through a lot of mushy sand which was a no go. They did say to forget it and go back to the AirBnB but I was going to persevere! Turns out the other place we went to was exactly the same. Tragic.

And this is why it was a damn near perfect trip. I tried so bloody hard. All they wanted was some ice cream and a nice beach. FeelsBadMan.
