Thunder

February 2022 - I realise this picture has nothing to do with thunder but I don’t care .

You know when I was a kid thunder used to scare the sh*t outta me. Even fireworks tbh, I remember on fireworks night I’d hide under my blanket (like that had any real impact on the noise) to try and avoid it. If you’re wondering why I’m writing about thunder all of a sudden it’s because it is currently raining outside and I can hear it. I’ve gone from being scared by it many years ago to finding it calming. It’s interesting how that can happen as you grow up, or how your taste buds change. I mean I get overcoming fear and stuff. But why does something that I found to taste disgusting now seem nice all of a sudden? 

Moving on swiftly - lowkey I wouldn’t mind working in some animal sanctuary vibing with lions and tigers all day. Or horses. I mean it sounds so peaceful and you don’t have to deal with the bs of the corporate world (well I think you don’t anyway). There’s actually a big cat sanctuary in Kent that I’ve been meaning to go to for a while but I don’t wanna go solo, you get to feed them which I think is cool af. So if you’re down to go lmk :).

Moving on swiftly again - I was playing a game the other night and got put into a squad with these 2 other dudes. This normally ends with me raging at my teammates but this time it was much more wholesome. One was a student from Russia just finishing up university and the other was a baker of similar age from France. Ended up playing for a couple hours discussing many different things from music to jobs to language - ‘twas fun. At one point though I did ask the Frenchman how he ended up being a baker which is when he told me about his life growing up. I’m not going to go into details about it but it was quite sad - the dude did so well to get to where he is now. Had me tearing up and sh*t as I played.  

Moving on swiftly again again - I was reminiscing the other day. Actually that’s a lie. It’s not like I was sitting there and actively thinking about it, rather it was a song that triggered a certain memory. The nostalgia is real - alas, the past cannot be changed so you just move on. 

Moving on swiftly again again again - Stranger Things 4 and Obi-Wan Kenobi came out a few days ago. Of course I binged all the episodes I possibly could on the same day. Firstly, Stranger Things is so cool I don’t get how some people can dislike it - they must be idiots. Secondly, Darth Vader has to be the most menacing villain ever?? The guy is just too badass! Looking forward to seeing him in more episodes of Kenobi.

Anywaaaaay. I must apologise. It’s been a weird one. I mean my posts are normally quite weird but this one definitely tops the list - it’s pretty much a month's worth of my notes. There is some other stuff on my mind right now but I don’t think this is the right time for it - or rather I don’t feel like posting about it anymore. 

It’s becoming a bit of a recurring theme in my posts but don’t forget to count your blessings.
