The Time I Nearly Died at Niagara Falls
March 2016 – Woopsy.
During spring break in 2016 I visited Toronto for a few days and the first thing that came to mind was wow the stereotype really is true. Everywhere I went I had the nicest conversations with complete strangers – it was a pleasant change from London where everyone is basically a kanjar (google it if you have to).
I booked a tour to visit Niagara Falls which included a wine tasting session, this was funny because I don’t drink alcohol – so there I was holding my glass at an angle spinning my apple juice around like a dumbass.
When we got to Niagara Falls, I immediately thought of getting this shot taken of me. I asked one of the dudes who was also on the tour and he obliged. Behind the railings there is a bit of rock you can stand on which isn’t necessarily the safest, but I deemed it to be stable enough. When I started climbing over, I heard someone shout “don’t do it!” to which I responded with “oh, no dude I’m just taking a photo” in a very calm manner. I did appreciate his concern though.
And that’s the story of how I got this picture – my parents were ecstatic when I sent them this…
